I was down at my buddy's muffler shop this am. We talked about bikes for a bit. They do some motorcycle exhaust work now and then. They said they'd be glad to look at yours if you were interested. Something custom. Let me know and we'll go down there. Rick

Won't be a problem with the thumper.

Well, only problem is that it's a not-so-adjustable thumper... not too much as far as tuning I can do from what I understand... a guy on another forum suggested this, but I don't have the know-how with welding or the supplies to do it, otherwise I'd give it a shot.. btw, the exhaust on my bike does not have the valve - just a regular muffler...

mark around muffler 7'' from back.
cut through with hack saw.remove centre pipe.

cut 1st & 3rd pipes back
enough so u can join up with 1-3/4'' perf tube.bend perf so it
connects up to 1st & 3rd pipes.

expand perf tube at one end so it goes over
exit pipe.align perf tube into place & tack weld to 1st pipe.

pack both ends with stainless wool packing.align both ends together & weld.

using abrasive flap disc in 4'' grinder, or whatever you have around the house, Finish weld & paint with flat black
heat proof paint.

Don't be carving on that nice muffler! No need to. Let's build this "TEST PIPE" and bolt it on. Paint it high temp black and weld a chrome tip on it. Can you hear me now?
